[Large Events] Now thru 9/27

We’re days away from THE eternal event of the year, but that doesn’t mean the rest of the Magic world is taking a break. Modern returns to Charlotte with SCG’s Open Series this weekend and the great players at Midgard Gaming are fighting Cancer with Siege Rhinos, Hangerback Walkers, and Starfields of Nyx.

Next weekend sees Grand Prix, Prague and Santiago, as well as the SCG Invitation up here in New Jersey. For those in warmer climate zones, there’s also a a TCGPlayer Diamond event in Florida. The real attraction though will likely be the World Championship and all the wonderful spoilers coming out of PAX. Spoilers have already started and it’s only a few short weeks until BFZ comes in to dispel the dreamstate hanging over Theros and usher Garruk off to find prey elsewhere.

[Store Events] Forecast for 8/25 thru 8/30

…and because we’re ahead of schedule and on a roll here’s next week’s Store level events. This forecast will be the game going forward and I’ll link to last week’s events when I post (like this).

The start of the next PPTQ season is here and Standard is out in force! Excited to see where the format heads with all these extra events coming to bear on it.

[Large and Community Events] London, Detroit, and Pre-Eternal Weekend

It’s a busy couple of weekends as Eternal Weekend dawns in the North East. Also, GP London and GP Detroit promise to show off more of the power of Magic Origins. Tune in to see what new tech takes it down this weekend.

[Store Events] End of PPTQs for 1st PT 2016

This weekend marks the end of the PPTQ cycle that will feed the first Pro Tour of 2016. Which also means modern is on the way out as the de facto format. For some that’s great news, but there are others I’m sure who are dreading this Standard format.

But that’s not what we’re here to talk about! Lets take a look at this week’s store level events

I plan on putting up a full list of everything until the end up next year next week, until then, here’s this week, next week, and a few more as a bonus!

[Store Events] Game Day Weekend 8/8-8/9

I had expected fewer events this weekend because of Game Day, but I’m once again surprised by there being a number of events that’s north of 120. Some of them are Game Day events from the North East region and are denoted as such.

[Store Events] Regionals Weekend 8/1-8/2

I’m honestly surprised there are so many PPTQs this weekend, but there you go. Regionals are listed in the table as well with links to their event pages so you can RSVP and coordinate with friends and rivals alike. Large Events haven’t really changed, so I’m not updating them this week.
